My Trulicity pens fail about 50% of the time and it seems to have something to do with refrigeration. If kept in the fridge, they fail a lot! If kept at room temp, they work fine. But they cannot be kept over 14 days if not refrigerated.

Your pharmacist is wrong, FWIW. Emgality has 7 day room temp stability as stated on the package and in the PI. I believe OP was concerned about whether re-refrigeration after coming to room temp would be problematic.

The pens can be at room temp for up to 21 days total. They don t need to remain at room temp once they reach it. Put them back in the fridge and they will last until their marked expiration date, as long as they re not at room temp for more than 21 days, at which point Lilly cannot guarantee their full efficacy that s the issue, not safety.
