I had been tapered somewhat f. Due to the awful side effects I tapered down to 30 myself. Well the prednisone did elevate the platlets somewhat but the risks far outweighed the benefits. I kept wondering why lately I was urinating constantly and was so very thirsty. It didn't occur to me that my blood glucose level was elevated.
